Summaries & Notes
Organic Chemistry and Mole Concept are two of the most challenging topics for O Level Chemistry students. These summary sheets distill the essential concepts from each topic. They're designed to be concise yet comprehensive, providing you with the key information you need to master these topics and excel in your exams.
Select Your Syllabus
Each set of papers is curated specifically for that level and syllabus. Pure Chemistry (6092) and Combined Chemistry (5086/5088) papers are kept completely separate because the scope, depth, and question formats differ meaningfully between the two. Select your syllabus below to download the relevant papers and mark schemes.
Sec 3 Pure Chemistry (6092)
WA Practice Papers & Mock Exams
These papers cover the foundational Sec 3 Pure Chemistry topics: experimental design, kinetic particle theory, atomic structure, chemical bonding, acids and bases, mole concept foundations and qualitative analysis.
View papers →Sec 4 Pure Chemistry (6092)
WA Practice Papers & Mock Exams
These papers target the Sec 4 Pure Chemistry topics: patterns in the periodic table, reactivity series of metals, ammonia, redox, rate of reactions, chemical energetics, electrochemistry, organic chemistry and maintaining air quality.
View papers →Sec 3 Combined Science (5086/5088)
WA Practice Papers & Mock Exams
These papers cover the foundational Sec 3 Combined Chemistry topics: experimental design, kinetic particle theory, atomic structure, chemical bonding, acids and bases, mole concept foundations and qualitative analysis.

WA Practice Papers & Mock Exams
These papers target the Sec 4 Combined Chemistry topics: patterns in the periodic table, reactivity series of metals, redox, rate of reactions, chemical energetics, organic chemistry and maintaining air quality.
View papers →How to use these practice papers effectively
- 1Attempt the full paper under timed conditions — no notes open, no distractions.
- 2Mark your own script using the mark scheme. Circle every mark lost.
- 3For each lost mark, identify the cause: Concept Gap or Exam Technique Gap?
- 4Concept gaps require re-learning the topic. Exam Technique gaps require reading the mark scheme answer and taking note of the exact keywords/answering techniques used.
- 5Attempt the next paper. Track whether the same errors recur.
Topic Explainers
These are full-length recorded lessons from A1 Chemistry's live classes covering topics that students consistently find difficult but absolutely crucial to master. Acids, Bases and Salts is one of the most commonly misunderstood chapters at Sec 3 level, but forms the bedrock for all other chapters in O Level Chemistry. Students who do not master this chapter early find later chapters significantly harder to follow. The Mole Concept is the most calculation-heavy topic in the syllabus and one that students often struggle with. This lesson covers the full calculation framework that underpins nearly every quantitative question in the O Level Chemistry paper.
